Mini Precision Press System

Seat brass inserts square, every time.

Heat-set inserts fail in a predictable way: pressed in by hand with a soldering iron, they go in tilted, sink too deep, or push a ring of molten plastic up around the boss. The cause is almost never heat. It is that a free hand cannot hold an iron vertical while pushing down on it.

The P1 puts the iron on a spring-return carriage running on a vertical post. The tip descends along one axis and returns when released, so the insert is pushed straight down and stops where you set it.

It suits the work where inserts matter most — enclosures, brackets and jigs printed in PLA, PETG or ABS that need a thread able to survive being unscrewed more than once.
